Environmental Protection Division (EPD)

The Environmental Protection Division is part of the Community and Environmental Services Department. It has expanded its role in protecting the environment to include water quality management, air quality management, wetland and lakeshore management, petroleum management, solid waste and wastewater management, hazardous materials management, and education and community outreach.

Agriculture (Cooperative Extension Service)

Cooperative Extension, a partnership between Orange County Government and the University of Florida, provides horticulture, livestock, and land-management education through workshops, seminars, bulletins, media, phone, and clinics to residential and commercial clientele. Educational programs include agribusiness, landscape design and maintenance, greenhouse crops, and the safe and efficient use of pesticides and fertilizers.

Lakes & Streams

The Environmental Protection Division provides comprehensive information about the quality of lakes and streams in Orange County, including basin information, water quality data, and Adopt-a-Lake programs.

Mosquito Control
