Inmate Money & Property Account

Inmate's money accounts are used to buy items from the inmate commissary and to pay for various medical services and jail fees.

GUIDELINES FOR DEPOSITS

Deposit items must be payable to the inmate and include the inmate’s jail number. The sender’s name and address MUST be included on all items except Government checks.

Deposit items containing altered name/payee information, incorrect or missing information will be returned to the depositor. When the depositor information is not available, these items will be mailed back to the agency/bank from which the item is drawn.

For dropped items, please use the envelope provided and complete the appropriate information. Deposit items are normally processed into the inmate’s account within 48 hours.

The ConnectNetwork website and Pay by Phone accept Visa and MasterCard and enable transactions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Funds can be deposited in person at the Booking & Release Center Public Lobby:

Located at 3855 John Young Parkway, Orlando, Fl 32839 during the hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week. CASH, Debit Card, Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Funds are no longer accepted by Western Union effective April 29, 2021.

RECEIVING MONEY FROM AN INMATE'S ACCOUNT

  • Inmates MUST complete a money release form (10-1007) and mail it to the individual authorized to receive the money. Exceptions are made for inmates housed in the Booking & Release Center (BRC).

  • Once the form is received, the person authorized to receive the money can report to BRC, located at 3855 John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32839. Only during the hours below unless housed at BRC.

**EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2022**

Property & Money Release Hours of Operation (all facilities except BRC, Bondsmen, and Attorneys):

  • Tuesday evenings: 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm
  • Wednesday mornings: 7:15 AM to 8:45 am
  • Saturday & Sunday mornings: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon)
  • Saturday & Sunday evenings: 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm

BRC, Bondsmen and Attorneys Property & Money Releases are 24/7 except during shift change (5:00 am to 7:00 am & 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm).

  • A valid driver’s license or state identification card is REQUIRED to receive inmate money.
  • Inmates are authorized one money release PER INCARCERATION up to the amount deposited during the arrest; however, a minimum account balance of $30 MUST be maintained.

HOW TO RECEIVE PROPERTY FROM AN INMATE

  • If the inmate IS housed in the Booking & Release Center (BRC), the person authorized to receive the property can report to BRC (this includes Attorney’s, Bondsmen, and out of town visitors).
  • Inmates NOT housed at BRC MUST complete a property release form (10-1007) and mail it to the individual authorized to receive the property.
  • Once the form is received the person authorized to receive the property can report to BRC during the following hours:

  • Inmates are authorized one property release per incarceration (all property except for clothing and identification).

Property Release Exceptions:

  • DOC Inmates: second release for clothing, identification and any incell property items.
  • Excessive property received in the property room, a second property release will be allowed.

HOW TO DROP OFF PROPERTY FOR AN INMATE

Approved property includes:

  • Court clothing (pants, shirt, shoes, dress socks, jacket, clip-on tie, dress, skirt and blouse)
  • Prescription eye-wear (sunglasses are not authorized)
  • Dentures
  • Contacts and saline solutions (sealed vials/bottles).

Approved property items can be dropped off at the Video Visitation Center (3000 39th St., Orlando, FL 32802) between the hours of 9:30 am to 8:30 pm, 7 days a week.

All incoming property will be searched for contraband and the person dropping off the property will be required to read and sign a Florida Statute 951.22 County Detention Facilities; Contraband Articles form.

HOW TO ORDER GIFT PACKAGES FOR AN INMATE

  • A person can order gift packages or fresh meals for an inmate. To send "I Care" items to inmate in jail, refer to the  I Care website.
