Enabling Legislation: The Agricultural Advisory Board was created by Resolution No. 94-M-27 adopted by the Board of County Commissioners at its meeting of April 12, 1994. On December 2, 2003, the Board adopted Resolution No 2003-M-58 to amend the membership to better reflect the types of agriculture and agribusiness currently existing in Orange Count
Membership: Eleven members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.

Term Length: 2 Years
Term Of Office: Terms shall expire on December 31 of each year.
Powers and Duties: The Board shall serve as an independent advisory board to the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of assisting in the review and analysis of Orange County rules, regulations and ordinances affecting the agricultural industry.
The Agricultural Advisory Board shall have the following functions, powers, and responsibilities:
1) The Agricultural Advisory Board shall provide recommendations and comments to the Board of County Commissioners on the various proposed County rules, regulations, and ordinances affecting the agricultural industry.
2) Recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners may consider the overall costs and benefits of rules, regulations, and ordinances to the agricultural industry in an effort to retain and enhance the industry's presence in the community.
3) The Board shall prepare an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners on its activities, goals, and objectives.
