    Enabling Legislation:
    Ordinance No. 99-01 was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on January 12, 1999 and Ordinance No. 2001-17 was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on August 28, 2001.

    Membership:
    Nine members. Members of the Nuisance Abatement Board must be residents of the county. Each district of the county shall be represented by at least one member. Appointments shall also be made on the basis of experience or interest in the subject matter jurisdiction of the Nuisance Abatement Board. In addition, the membership of the Nuisance Abatement Board shall, whenever possible, include at least one member with education or experience in law enforcement.

    Term Length: 2 Years

    Term Of Office:
    Each term commences January 2nd and expires on January 1st.

    Powers and Duties:
    The Nuisance Abatement Board shall have jurisdiction to hear and decide complaints alleging that a place or premises constitutes a public nuisance.
