NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Skills Competition

Boys and girls ages 8-15 can test their skills during this local football skills competition sponsored by the NFL. Measured football skills are punting, passing and kicking from a tee. Scores are based upon distance and accuracy. Those with the highest scores in each age division advance to a sectional competition and possibly the team competition in Tampa and national competition at a Playoff Game. Proof of age is required (birth certificate). Age will be determined as of December 31, 2009.

All Orange County Parks and Recreation locals have taken place. You can go to www.nflyouthfootball.com to find other locals taking place in the Central FL Area.

Sectional Competition: Sunday, November 1, 2009 12:30 Cypress Grove Park. Must have competed at a local competition and qualified first in order to attend this event.

MLB Pitch, Hit & Run Skills Competition

This national skills program sponsored by Aquafina provides boys and girls the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running abilities. Each youngster competes in each skill and the winners advance to a sectional level. Winners from the sectional level advance to the team championship, which will be held at a Tampa Bay Rays home game. Winners from the team Championship can advance to the national championship which will be hosted at the MLB All Star Game. Proof of age is required (birth certificate). No metal spikes. Age determined as of July 17, 2010.

Jr. Olympic USA Skills Competition

The Jr. Olympic USA Skills Competition is sponsored by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes. Participants can test their skills in basketball, track-n-field, tennis and soccer. The program is free and for ages 8-13 boys and girls. Children will have the opportunity to advance to the national finals. Proof of age is required (birth certificate). Age determined as of August 31, 2010.

Cost: Free!!!
