The Corrections Health Services staff includes physicians, dentists and dental technicians, advanced registered nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, psychiatrist, psychologist, mental health specialists, specialty coordinators, pharmacist, pharmacy technicians, and clerical personnel.
The healthcare staff covers different clinical locations within the jail complex, and provides coverage seven days/week, 24 hours/day. There is a medical records unit on site, as well as an in-house pharmacy and medical supply.
Inmates who, because of a medical and/or mental health condition, cannot function within the general jail population are housed in special designated units where staff provides increased medical/mental health care and oversight. When additional care is indicated, Corrections Health Services works in partnership with community hospitals and specialty physicians to provide necessary care/services to the inmates. |
