Orange County Corrections Department is one of the largest jail systems in the United States and we receive thousands of applications every year. Our hiring process is competitive and only the best will be selected for employment.

We recruit at many college campuses, job fairs, and correctional training centers in search of possible candidates to join the Orange County Corrections Department. Currently, candidates for Corrections Officer may be certified Correctional Officers from an accredited training center in the State of Florida or may be trainees that are selected to go to a training center at the expense of Orange County Government. A viable candidate should have favorable work experiences, driving history, and a low-incident rate of substance abuse.
