OMB Responsibilities

The Office of Management & Budget (OMB) has the primary responsibility for preparing and monitoring the County's revenue, expenditures, and capital improvement budgets. With 19 permanent positions, OMB is responsible for an annual budget in excess of $2 billion, as well as many other functions, such as fiscal reporting, performance measurement, fee revisions, financial modeling, business process re-engineering, delinquent revenue monitoring, and numerous special projects.

OMB's focus for the future is on enhancing the County's fiscal management, increasing the knowledge of county staff and citizens on fiscal issues, and improving the quality of budget systems and reporting mechanisms.
