The mission of the District Nine Medical Examiner's Office is to serve the public and the judicial needs of Orange and Osceola Counties. The office performs quality and efficient medicolegal investigations to determine the cause and manner of deaths as mandated by Florida Statute 406.

• Our Business Office operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Death Calls are received 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Forensic examinations are completed daily.
• Autopsies are performed from 8:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm, 7 days a week.

Our office is located at the corner of Michigan Street and Bumby Avenue.

If you are traveling south on Orange Avenue from downtown Orlando:

1. Make a left on Michigan Street.
2. The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office is to the right at the intersection of Michigan Street and Bumby Avenue.

If you are traveling I-4 east bound:

1. Take Exit #81BC onto Kaley Street and turn right (east) onto Kaley.
2. Make a right at the first traffic signal onto Division Avenue.
3. Make a left onto Michigan Street.
4. The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office is to the right at the intersection of Michigan Street and Bumby Avenue.

If you are traveling I-4 west bound:

1. Take Exit #81A onto Michigan Street.
2. Take a left onto Michigan Street from the exit ramp; you will be heading east.
3. The Orange County Medical Examiner's Office is to the right at the intersection of Michigan Street and Bumby Avenue.
