Description of Positions

As you may or may not be aware, the State of Florida has adopted a medical examiner system of operations. There are twenty-four medical examiner districts in the State of Florida. The Governor appoints the District Medical Examiner (DME) for each medical examiner district. Depending on the size of the jurisdiction, the DME appoints as many Associate Medical Examiners as needed and any staff support necessary to run the office. In District Nine, all of the employees are Orange County Government employees.
