The Traffic Engineering Division is responsible for the administration of the County's Speed Hump Program. Speed humps are allowed on residential streets with less than 3,000 vehicles per day and a documented speeding problem shown through a speed study. The process begins with a Speed Hump Program Petition (PDF - 56.6 KB) from the property owners on the street. See the FACT Sheet listed at right for more information.
