FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 22, 2009

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Parks and Recreation Division will shorten its park hours.  When Daylight-saving time ends the first Sunday in November most parks will then be open from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the fall and winter months.

During standard time the operating hours for Orange County’s unmanned pocket parks and smaller neighborhood parks will not change and will remain open from sunrise to sunset.  Lighted athletic facilities will remain open after 6:00 p.m. for practice or game play.

The park hours will be adjusted again in the spring to accommodate daylight-saving time.

For more information, please call (407) 836-6243.
