About the Artist Jeanne Schubert paints in vivid colors - incredible purples, intense blues and the mysterious lavender-pink-gray that is everywhere in Florida. Most of her paintings begin as abstracted studies, searches for patterns in dark and light that help her express more than the scene itself. Schubert rarely has a “finished” picture in mind when she begins painting - as the process develops, the painting takes on a life of its own and becomes something entirely unplanned. Schubert conducts workshops throughout Florida and is a frequent juror for art competitions across the state. Her paintings are in more than 300 collections. Ms. Schubert resides in Edgewater, Florida.
