Help your child learn the values of good sportsmanship through Barnett Park's Jr. Magic league. Children learn the basics during practice and then use what they learn during games against other teams in the league.

Special Event: Fish4Fun in September!
  • Fish4Fun is a free catch-and-release fishing event for ages 12 and younger that takes place at four parks (see below – children can participate in any or all four events); each on-site registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; fishing tournament 8-10 a.m.; and winners recognized 10 a.m. We encourage family and friends to fish with their registered child and to bring your own fishing gear if you have it; supplies will be offered to registered children, while supplies last. Youth Programs

  • Junior Magic Basketball Youth FUNdamentals - Fall 2024: co-ed for ages 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12
    • Registration: July 12 - August 9, 2024 (closes earlier if full) - parent or legal guardian must register child; birth certificate required for registration, Division age determined by June 1, 2024.
    • Skills assessment/draft: August 10, 2024
    • League Play: Saturdays, August 24 - October 19, 2024
    • Cost: $60 per child, includes game jersey, certificate and ticket opportunity to an Orlando Magic basketball game.
    • Proof of Orange County residency required (utility bill and personal ID); additional $20 fee for non-County residents.
  • Youth Fitness Membership is available for free for ages 8 – 17 to use the gymnasium and game room at assigned times. Parent or guardian must be present to complete enrollment.

Adult Sports and Fitness

  • Adult Basketball (ages 18 and older) – Fall 2024
    • Registration: August 16 to September 13, 2024
    • 12 teams maximum
    • League Play: Sundays, September 29 to December 8, 2024; season is eight games plus two weeks of playoffs.
      • Game times: 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
    • Cost: $350 per team, up to 10 players, teams must provide jerseys following NFHS basketball regulations.
    • Mandatory captain/manager meeting TBD
  • Adult Softball (ages 18 and older) – Fall 2024
    • League: Men's D, eight teams maximum
    • Registration: July 26 through August 23, 2024
    • League Play: Thursdays, September 12 to November 21, 2024
      • Men’s D game times: 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
    • Cost: $360 per team, up to 20 players, includes six softballs
    • Mandatory captain/manager meeting TBD
  • Fitness Center Memberships are $100 per year for ages 16 - 54 or $25 for 90 days; $75 per year for ages 55+ and active military. Membership includes access to fitness area and assigned times for gymnasium and game room. (Individual fitness classes are paid separately and do not require membership.)
  • Pickleball for ages 18 and older is held on Monday 6-8 p.m. Cost: included with fitness center membership or $10 per day.
