Recent Code Amendments
Amendments to Orange County Code Chapter 15, Article VIII, Tree Protection and Removal and Chapter 24, Landscaping, Buffering and Open Space were adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on September 12, 2023 by Ordinance 2023-35. These changes became effective on March 15, 2024.
Process
- Complete and submit an application for a Tree Removal Permit.
- Attach a site map indicating trees slated for removal.
- You may submit In-Person or online to Arborist@ocfl.net
- Application is reviewed by the Zoning Division Arborists for compliance with the County regulations. Other affected divisions may review such as Development Engineering and Environmental Protection Division.
- For approved applications, conditions of approval may be imposed.
- The permit is issued to the contractor or property owner.
- The permit expires after 60 days of Permit issuance.
Review Fees
- Zoning Arborist $247.98 (base fee) plus $131 inspections (base fee), $262 (between 5 and 10 acres), or $363 (greater than 10 acres) (fee schedule).
- EPD $3 (if applicable)
- Development Engineering $38 (if applicable)
