Green building combines energy and environmental integration. Green Building techniques include proper window orientation, the use of ceiling fans, window shading and light colored surfaces, energy efficient appliances and lighting, pollution reduction and solar water heating.
Sustainable building is the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance, and demolition.
Orange County's Orange to Green Development Program (OGDP) was created in 2008 to encourage sustainable development in our community.
OGDP offers incentives for building owners who incorporate green building techniques in the design and construction of their projects.
