Orange Avenue

Orange – Osceola County Line to Florida’s Turnpike

Description

A Roadway Conceptual Analysis (RCA) Study is being conducted for Orange Avenue. The primary study corridor is from the Orange – Osceola County line to Florida’s Turnpike (approximately 0.61 miles).

Purpose

The project will determine the preferred roadway alignment for the widening of Orange Avenue from two to four lanes and the addition of bicycle and pedestrian facilities, roadway lighting and a closed drainage system with stormwater treatment ponds.

Public Involvement

Stakeholder and general public input play a key role in guiding the development of the Study recommendations. As such, a community meeting will be held prior to determining the final roadway alignment. The meetings will be publicly posted and an informational newsletter will be distributed to property owners in the vicinity of the road at least two weeks prior to the meeting date. Public hearings will also be held with the Orange County Local Planning Agency and Board of County Commissioners where public comments will be received.
