Oak Ridge Road to Holden Avenue

Description

Texas Avenue will be widened from two to four lanes, from Oak Ridge Road to Holden Avenue. The project will provide drainage improvements, bike lanes, sidewalks, median landscaping, and roadway lighting.

Construction of Texas Avenue has been split into two segments:

Segment 1: Americana Boulevard to Holden Avenue is being funded through Orange County’s INVEST program.

Segment 2: Oak Ridge Road to American Boulevard

Purpose

The addition of the Millennia Mall, redevelopment of the Orange Blossom Trail corridor, and extension of Holden Avenue between John Young Parkway and Orange Blossom Trial (US 441) support the need for the Texas Avenue Widening project.

Status

Segment 1 is in right of way acquisition.

Segment 2 will proceed into right of way acquisition when future funding is available.
