Description:The proposal is to change the Future Land Use Map designation of the subject property from Rural/ Agricultural (R) to Planned Development- Commercial District (PD-C) and an expansion to the Urban Service Area (USA) boundary. A concurrent rezoning is to change the zoning designation from A-2 (Farmland Rural District) to PD (PLanned Development District) for the development of C-1 uses, specifically a 591,000 sq foot self storage facility. A waiver is also requested from Orange County Code to allow a maximum height of 45 feet for commercial buildings within 100 feet of any residential zoned property, in lieu of maximum height of 35 feet within 100 feet of any residential zoned property.
